** The next bulk event will be on November 18th, 2017.

Household Hazardous Waste:
* There is an Eco-Depot on September 30th in Newport (Easton’s Beach), more info here:

2) PAY User Fee
The annual user fee of $141 is due by October 31. I have the stickers at my office, 9 Berkeley Ave or payment can be mailed to the same address.
The 2018 renewal form:
We offer a payment plan as well, more info can be found here:

3) Yard waste
Please, please, PLEASE, only place material that has grown in your yard out for yard waste collection. Too often our yard waste truck driver reports lumber, litter, dog waste and other treasures mixed in with the yard waste.

All of Middletown’s yard waste gets tipped at Rhode Island Nurseries’ facility where it is composted and spread on the fields. If trash is mixed in it doesn’t break down and litters their field and surrounding property.

Thank you!

4) Shredded Paper
Shredded paper is no longer accepted in our recycling program due to it being hard to capture, contamination to the other recyclables, and bags jamming equipment. Here’s
more information:

Shredding events: there is a free shredding event in Johnston RI this Saturday, Sept 16:
