The Town of Middletown Recycling and Yard Waste Guidelines
Recycling Guidelines > NEW! <
Yard waste will be picked up on a seasonal schedule, every week in April, every other week May through October, three weeks in November, a week in December and yard waste is collected with Christmas trees in January. Exact weeks of collection may be found in the welcome kit and schedule.
There several options for placing yard waste on the curb:
- You may use the brown paper bags that are sold in hardware stores for this purpose.
- You may use a regular 30-gallon trash barrel clearly marked yard waste (yard waste stencils are available on loan at the Department of Public Works, see the recycling coordinator).
- For brush that can’t fit in the trash cans, or if you simply prefer, the brush may be tied in bundles 4 feet long or less and the branches should not have a diameter more than 2″.
Please Note: Yard waste is limited to 50 lbs per unit (bag, barrel or bundle) as it is collected manually. There is no set limit to the amount of yard waste allowed to be put out for collection.
