Drop Off Area Behind the DPW closed

Recycling drop off area to close

April 14, 2014

Due to the space constraints of the Middletown Fire Department and Department of Public Works renovation and expansion project, the drop off area was closed on April 25, 2014. Here is what you can do with material previously dropped off:

Used Oil:
Used motor oil can be dropped off at local automotive stores (NAPA & Advanced Auto Parts)

E-Waste Drop:
E-waste will be accepted at bulk waste amnesty day events (held quarterly)

TV’s & Computer Monitors:
TV’s & Computer Monitors will be accepted at bulk waste amnesty day events (held quarterly)

Waste Vegetable Cooking Oil:
WVCO can be dropped off at Newport Biodiesel, 312 JT Connell Hwy, Newport, RI 02840, contact them by calling (401) 846-1117

Cardboard:
Once broken down and bundled up with tape or twine, overflow cardboard is acceptable to be placed out next to your recycling bin


Scrap Metal:
Scrap metal will be accepted at bulk waste amnesty day events (held quarterly) or scrap metal can be brought to local scrap dealers, check the phone book for listings.
